Surviving the Challenges that be....
This past week started off great or so I thought. Jaxon's party on Saturday went off without a hitch. The kids totally loved the sledding theme and so did the parents. What could be better, right...a party that exhausts the kids that is so much fun! (Thanks to Hubby for the idea!) Then onto Monday...Oh flipping Monday. Natalie started the day with a stomach bug, then we got the news that friends of our at Jaxon's party had lice, then found out two more friends did as well. Spent the entire afternoon and night combing thru my children's hair, applying treatment, bagging anything that couldn't be washed/dried, then washing everything else. Tuesday: HUGE snowstorm, school cancelled. Spent the day disfinecting the house for the potential of lice while kids ran wild distructing the house and I was constantly changing poor Natalie in the tub to avoid blowout diapers. Wednesday: HUGE ice storm, school cancelled AGAIN! Spent the day miserable with the same stomach bug that Natalie has all while trying to entertain the kids and keep them out of Ethan's hair so he could work. Finally by the afternoon I started to feel mildly human only to find out that Rori is "not feeling well" and alas, she has the stomach bug too only worse then Natalie and myself. She spent the entire night vomiting, oh joy. About the same time I was cleaning up Rori, Ethan started to not feel so well and BAM...he had the stomach bug too. The only one left standing is Jaxon...GO Jax!! Then to top it all off our septic tank got backed up and we couldn't use out toilets. Just imagine having the bug and not being able to flush...NASTY, NASTY, NASTY! Luckily the septic people came and could pump the tank this morning, Praise GOD! Needless to say, I AM DONE!! I need a break, a vacation, something to keep me sane because right now I'm on the verge. My only saving grace is my abilty to always try to find that "silver lining" and believe me, it's be TOUGH!! I am thankful that the bug was only a 12hr thing...that we could get the tank pumped early in the morning and didn't have to wait days...that as of yet we still are lice free. Again Praise GOD! Fingers crossed we aren't hit with anymore bumps because this Mommy could really use a break. xoxox

It's a good day
Happy Days..Snow days are always happy days for the kids, CRAZY days for the Mommy. This is the 4th snow day this year...I can't get over the amount of snow we've had already. It's almost like it was years ago, when we first moved here. I love snow but am all done with it. The kids love it...they play but only when we make them. When Daddy isn't home they just don't want to go out...He's the fun one and that is fine by me. I miss the warmth, the sunshine...the south. Eventually I think we'll be there...someday. Til then, xoxoxoxo

So here I am, thinking "oh, aren't I bad...starting my own blog" famous last words. This really shouldn't be so hard to figure out how to design the blog to my liking, make it pretty, and play...ugh, will try again tomorrow. Night to all
